Tri-City Golf Policies

These rules were adopted with the intention of making the game and course better and more pleasant for all. Your cooperation is appreciated.

* USGA rules govern all play.
* All play starts from No.1 tee. Everyone must sign in before teeing off. All guests must pay fees before playing, not after.
* Each golfer must have his or her own bag.
* You may not play a mulligan on No. 1 tee.
* All fences are out of bounds. Highway marks out of bounds along No. 5 and No. 6. Out of bounds penalty is loss of distance plus one stroke penalty. Example: If you hit your first tee shot out of bounds, the next ball you hit off the tee will be your third stroke.

* In case of lost ball in creek.

Option A: Play as near as possible to the original spot that the original ball was played with a one stroke penalty

Option B: Drop the ball behind the water hazard, keeping the point where it crossed the margin of the hazard between the hole and where the ball is dropped with a one stroke penalty. You can go back as far as you want.

* You cannot touch or move your ball in fairway roughs, sand traps, shrubs, tall grass, creek or along fences. If the ball cannot be played where it lies, it can be lifted to the fairway with one stroke penalty, but never advancing the ball closer to the green.
* If your ball lies in mulch around trees, you can move your ball a club length without advancing to the hole without a penalty stroke.
* Ball may be lifted from a bare spot or roadway without penalty, but never advancing the ball closer to the green you are playing.
*If your ball hits the wires across entrance road, play another ball without penalty.
* Replace divots. Push down torn sod.
* Winter rules apply to fairway only.
* Do not drive off putting greens. Lift off without penalty.

* Lost ball by one or more players shall be hunted by all members. After three minutes, following players shall be signaled to play through.
* Slow players must allow faster players to play through.
* At all times, foursomes shall have right-of-way over any other number of players except in regular matches where twosomes shall have preference.
*No player shall approach any green until preceding players have holed out and are off the green. Players should move off the green promptly to avoid delaying following players. Mark your score down when you reach the tee.
*All found balls which are marked must be turned in at the club house.
 *Soft spikes are mandatory.
* By-laws state that no child under age 12 will be allowed on the course unless accompanied by an adult. Please help us protect your children!
*Beginning at noon on Saturday through Sunday no persons under 14 years of age will be allowed to play unless accompanied by a parent or adult. This also means being on the course hunting balls, playing in the creek, etc...
* No golf cart may be driven in the vicinity of the club house or on the course unless one rider has a drivers license.
*No students enrolled in high school or younger may golf on Men's Stag. College students may golf on Men's Stag when accompanied by parent member.
